I am a 3D Visualisation Specialist and Digital Artist based in Scotland. I enjoy all aspects of the Creative/Digital industry, however my speciality lies in architectural visualisation and product design.
I have been working as a freelance artist for over a year now and in that time I have worked on a wide variety of projects from large scale plot animations, bespoke interior designs, to whiskey and gin bottles (lots of whiskey bottles!).
I find the variety in the type of work I do exciting, and there is never a dull moment when it comes to tackling a new job that I have never come across before. In order to keep on top of this it helps that I am passionate about what I do. I constantly research new ideas, techniques and artists within the industry, as well as some from other industries.
After graduating from the University of the West of Scotland with an Honours degree in Computer Animation & Multimedia I was asked to come back to the University and work as a demonstrator. Since then I have been upgraded to an Associate Lecturer and have been charged with developing and delivering modules to various departments throughout the University.
Working with students has been very rewarding to me. It is always good when a student contacts you after they leave and tell you that what you taught them inspired them to pursue a job they had only dreamed of!
But that is not all I am interested in, I also love playing golf when I have the opportunity, as well as some creative amateur photography. However, it is rare that I get an opportunity to do these things and generally spend a large majority of my nights studying other artist’s 3D imagery and techniques.
Currently I have a strong interest in VR and 360 VR Panoramas. I am also keen to get involved in augmented reality projects.
